|
Mission |
|
As a State Women’s Chamber within the
Union, we have a big role to play in supporting college students,
women in top positions, small-to large businesses, corporate
executives, government employees and all women in the workforce. To
create an economic community for women through Education, training,
networking, financial, partnerships and alliances. To promote
Growth, diversity and economic development of women and minority
women, to achieve the integration of women into leadership roles. We
also make sure all our voices are heard in Washington, D.C. on many
issues facing women in the 21st Century. |
|
|
Vision and
Diversity |
|
To increased awareness and intention
around diversity in Nevada and our membership reflects just that.
WCCNV puts an emphasis on diversity, with alliances through Minority
Chambers which are very important to the state of Nevada and
Globally. We will continue to advise companies to offer more
opportunities for women and minority-owned businesses and hire
minority women in higher level positions in Nevada. |
|
|
The Women's
Chamber |
|
Does not discriminate with gender,
women and men may join in keeping with the Federal Law. The men that
join, happen to own major corporations that help women and support
our efforts in the community as a Women’s Chamber. The men that own
other small businesses that join WCCNV is because women are their
targeted market and they have representatives from their company and
most times they are are husband and wife teams. |

Note |
|
The Women’s Chamber is close, but (not
100% yet) in making your membership all-inclusive.
The Women’s Chamber also lowered its rates back in January 2008 to
keep up with the economy and your budget while you build your
business/career. Prices will go up next year, if you become a member
now, and keep your membership current, your rates will never go up,
once you join.

which will bring you more visibility to your business while building
your business relationships.
In today’s Economy you are not doing business the way you did last
year. It’s not about just networking anymore, today you have to
manage your time very carefully, figure out where to invest your
hard earn money, you have to work harder at building business
relationships, and market and advertise your business today to keep
yourself very visible.
“Time’s they are a changing” (slogan)
Business today is much harder and different then it was even a year
ago, (which will never be the same), so unless you have the right
guidance, contacts, resources and know the people you are trying to
do business with, it will take more of your time, money, not to
mention harder to keep your business afloat.
